Who will WWE announce for the HOF tonight?
- Former TNA stars The Naturals were backstage at RAW last night.
- The website for the new WWE Kids Magazine will launch soon at wwekids.com.
- Here is the official blurb for WWE’s upcoming Andre the Giant biography which is due out in October.
Andre the Giant is known to millions beyond the boundaries of the wrestling ring. From his sheer size of 7′ 4″ and 500 pounds to his memorable acting role in The Princess Bride, the circumstances of his life and career ensured him recognition wherever he went. Born Andre Rousimmof in a small village in France in 1946 (to parents of average height, as were his four siblings) he suffered from acromegaly, or gigantism, which results in an overabundance of growth hormones. By the age of seventeen Andre was 6 ‘ 7″, and continued to grow throughout his life. At the time there was no treatment and life expectancy for this rare condition was forty-five. Determined to make the most of his life, Andre looked for a profession where he could put his size to good use and enjoy each day as if it were his last. As a wrestler he traveled to Canada and then to the USA where, under the aegis of Vince McMahon Sr., he quickly became a superstar, performing to crowds of up to 90,000. Chronicling his life and his phenomenal rise to stardom and featuring input from many who knew and worked with him, this book gives readers a unique insight into the man known and loved across the world as the gentle giant.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels continue to wield more power than any other wrestlers on the WWE roster. Undertaker has a lot of stroke, but doesn’t get involved in the creative process as much as HHH and Michaels. While everyone backstage pretty much agrees that HHH is overprotective of his spot, they also credit him with getting Vince McMahon to steer away from allowing the writers to use campy toilet humor. Michaels comes across more neutral during creative meetings and doesn’t let his insecurities of losing his spot show.
Although HHH has more than his fair share of enemies in the locker room, there is at least a small feeling that he is a great asset to the company and he’ll never get the credit that he deserves because he’s married to the boss’s daughter.

Jericho welcomes Mr. Show to the ring and tells him to have a seat. Jericho rolls the clip of Big Show grabbing Floyd Mayweather last week on RAW and tossing him over the top rope onto the WWE stars, and the brawl that ensued.
Show says that’s what he calls a Highlight and reinforces the fact that nobody likes Floyd Mayweather. Show points out that Jericho is bigger and more experienced than Mayweather, but says they both know Jericho wouldn’t last 2 minutes in the ring with Show, so what chance does Mayweather have. The latest on Candice Michelle is that she will see a doctor later in the week to determine how bad she re-aggravated her broken clavicle injury that she originally suffered back in October. All indications are that Candice will work through the pain if she is medically cleared to wrestle as she does not want to miss out on the WrestleMania bonus pay.
- Chris Jericho received a stiff right hand from Big Show during their match on Raw last night. For those that missed Raw, they replayed the blow several times on television to play up the shot. Ever since WWE began broadcasting in High Definition, everyone has had to work a lot more “snug” to keep their work looking realistic. Jericho took a real stiff shot to the face last week as well in his match against Jeff Hardy.

NEW YORK In an effort to generate excitement among teens and tweens, World Wrestling Entertainment is taking its Road to Wrestlemania XXIV to the virtual world of Habbo, a social networking site aimed at teenagers.
“For WWE as a content company and a content marketer, it’s very important for us to figure out this intersection of the TV manifestation of our product with the Web,” said Geof Rochester, evp of marketing.
Once it has expanded its digital footprint, the next stage is to develop a strategy to monetize it. The goal, said Rochester, is to have more inventory for the WWE ad sales team to sell against on a global scale.
In the virtual Road to Wrestlemania, Habbo denizens will compete on behalf of their favorite WWE superstar in one of the five matches, including “The World Heavyweight Championship: Edge vs. The Undertaker” and “The Biggest Battles the Best,” which pits WWE’s Big Show against welterweight boxer Floyd Mayweather. The campaign launched on March 24 and runs for 11 days. The WWE first partnered with Habbo in January to promote its monthly Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
