Detox (Dr. Dre album)

Detox is the upcoming third and final studio album by rapper and record producer Dr. Dre. It was originally due for a 2004 release, but was not completed because Dr. Dre wanted to concentrate on producing for artists that were on his Aftermath Entertainment record label.

New Delhi, Aug 25, 2008: Sixth Pay Commission is an important step by the government. In the highlights given in the following lines we can understand the difference that the Sixth Pay Commission may well make on the lives of the ordinary government employees.

One thing is pretty sure. It will bring some welcome improvements in most government employees’ pay packages thus improving their lives at least slightly.

All efforts from some quarters to derail the sixth pay commission have failed. Instead the union government has made some changes in the recommendations and all for the better. (more…)

Sixth Central Pay Commission

A panel of Sixth Central Pay commission was setup by Union Cabinet of India on October 5, 2006 for hiking the salaries of government employees. This commission has been setup under Justice B.N.Srikrishna with a timeframe of 18 months. Other members are Prof. Ravindra Dholakia, Mr. J.S.Mathur and Secretary Smt. Sushama Nath. (more…)

NEW DELHI: A row appears to be brewing between major direct-to-home service providers over interoperability of set-top boxes (that allow consumers to shift from one DTH company to another without changing the STB) that could jeopardise consumer interest.

Reliance Big TV Ltd has complained against an established DTH operator alleging that not only are the company’s STBs not compliant with the latest technology but that the company was trying to block out bringing the revised norms. (more…)

NEW DELHI: Air India and SpiceJet on Thursday hiked air fares by at least Rs 300 per ticket citing high ATF prices. ( Watch )

Earlier in a meeting with the Civil Aviation Ministry, Indian carriers had told that they need to hike fares by 20 to 25% (Rs 2,000 on an average) to cover their operational costs, considering the current high price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel. (more…)

London (PTI) His own team Bangalore Royal Challengers might have come a cropper at the Indian Premier League, but liquor baron Vijay Mallya is content with the fact that the trophy went to Rajasthan Royals, a side sponsored by his company.
