Sensex opens positive ahead of Budget 2009

NEW DELHI: Stocks opened higher on Monday as investors built positions ahead of the Union Budget. Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee will present Budget 2009-2010 at 11am in Parliament which is expected to include measures to boost economic growth.

Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex was trading above tht 15,000 mark, higher by about 100 points while National Stock Exchange’s
Nifty climbed 27 points to 4451.25.
