Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Bhubaneswar: The Orissa Rajya Nigam Karmachari Mahasangh allrged the step-motherly attitude of the state government in implementing the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission for the employees of all corporations and cooperative societies in the state.
Over thousands Mahasangh members from across 33 corporations staged a demonstration here seeking fulfillment of their seven-point charter of demands.
Later, a delegation of the Mahasangh led by president Muktikanta Mohapatra submitted a memorandum to the chief minster Naveen Patnaik for immediate fulfillment of the grievances.
The member of the Mahasangh threatened that it will intensify the stir if the state government fails to meet the demands within a short notice.
Among others, Mahasangh secretary general Sankarananda Das, Orissa Karmachari Sangram Samiti chairman Pratap Das and secretary general Sarat Mallha, Chakabandi Karmachari Sangh president Ramachandra Rana and leaders of other associations were present.
