New Delhi, Feb, 26, 2009: On the eve of forthcoming Lok Sabha polls Congress approved 6 percent hike in DA for Central govt.

employees. This will give more breathing space for central government employees who often complain of getting very low DA.

This good news comes a few months after the Congress government implemented Sixth Pay Commission. The 6th pay commission enhanced the pay and related benefits to central government employees by as much as forty percent and even more in some cases.

Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has been trying to keep all segments of the population in good humour.

With inflation level coming down to a record level of below four percent, accompanied by such soaps, government believes it has good chances in the next Lok Sabha polls.
