NAGPUR: The row over the implementation of sixth pay commission refuses to go away. First, the state government employees had resorted to
protests over the ‘inordinate delay’ in the implementation of the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission at the state level.

Now, after the recommendations have been implemented, all the state government employees — deputy collectors, additional collectors, tehsildars and naib tehsildars – will go on a mass casual leave on Monday to protest against the discrepancies in the salary structure.

While in some cases the salaries have tripled, in others there has been little or no increase in salary. This has invited the ire of many state government employees who will join the protests on Monday, and have already submitted their leave applications to the respective seniors.
