New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was involved in an accidental shooting at a night club Friday night.
Giants wideout Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg at a nightclub Friday night. Burress spent the night at the hospital, and his wound is not considered life-threatening.
Burress had already been sidelined for this Sundays’ game against the Washington Redskins due to a hamstring injury. He was not at team meetings and did not attend Saturday’s walkthrough. Specific details of the shooting are not available, and the Giants are not commenting on the incident. (more…)

Rumors have been flying around over the past year or so about the possibility of MSNBC political commentator and host of
“Hardball,” Chris Matthews, running for the Senate in Pennsylvania. He was born in Philadelphia.
