Bangalore: Busting crackers inseparable part of Deepavali festival in India. All households in cities and villages are found busy in busting crackers and exchanging Deepavali greetings.

Residents of the City are seen standing on top of the buildings to see bursting of crackers and colorful skies. Young and old fired rockets and flower pots and enjoyed the colorful festival with religious vigor and spirit.

People wore new clothes after oil bath in the morning. They offered prayers at temples and placed light candles and traditional lamps in front of their houses. Cell phones keep on ringing through out the day to greet us a “Happy Deepavali”.

Many shops on Avenue Road in Bangalore were seen selling crackers. All sweet shops busy selling sweets while electronic shops offering all kinds of gifts for every purchase of item.

All schools and colleges, banks and other government institutions remained closed on Monday following Deepavali. Read more »
