New Delhi: Country’s top shuttlers Anup Sridhar and Saina Nehwal made a resounding start to their Thailand Open campaign at Bangkok on Wednesday, progressing to the pre-quaterfinals of the tournament.

However, India enjoyed a mixed outing today with as many as seven shuttlers crashing out of the tournament against only three, who made it to the pre-quaterfinals. (more…)

On the day he leaves Microsoft to work for his pet social sector projects, software pioneer Bill Gates on Friday announced a $23 million grant to India to control the scourge of HIV/AIDS in the country.
