TUESDAY, June 10, (News Locale) – Finnish mobile giant Nokia has announced the introduction of N78 – the latest phone in its stylish N series in India. The Nokia Nseries N78 is expected to retail for Rs 19,999 in the country.
The N78 continues the tradition of the N series focusing on techno geeks. The new device claims to offer multiple experiences with the integration of features like FM radio, MP3 player and GPS system. (more…)

Abu Dhabi/Doha: When the results of the 10th and 12th standard CBSE Board exams were declared there was a sense of jubilation and pride. The performance of students in general was good and some Mangalorean and Goan children in particular were outstanding. Their efforts and sacrifice paid off and they emerged triumphant. Though there are many more students of Mangalorean origin who have excelled in the CBSE exams with scoring high marks, here we introduce those children who have submitted their details to us. (more…)

Ludhiana: In comparison to the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, a few students from the city managed to clear the pre medical test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Gurvinder Singh of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, got the 95th rank. He has also cleared the Armed Forces Medical College test. Roohi Katyal of Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School in Sarabha Nagar got 293 rank. She secured 77 rank in PMT conducted by the Christian Medical College, Puneet Kaur Randhawa of Guru Nanak Public School ranked 477 in CBSE(PMT). (more…)

NEW DELHI: CBSE declared the results of the All IndiaPre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2008 on Saturday. According to CBSE, 22,014 candidates cleared the exam out of 1,61,230, who had appeared for it.
The examination was conducted in two stages and the final was held on May 5 this year.
Based on the marks scored by the candidates in the final examination, 1776 candidates, out of which 1389 are general, 268 SC and 119 ST, have been placed on the merit list and 1642 candidates are on the wait list. (more…)

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is considering increasing the number of One-Mark Questions from 10 to 15 in the Class 10 & 12 Board examinations from next year.
This move is expected to take shape in the 2008-2009 academic session.
Mr. Ashok Ganguly, Chairman of CBSE said, “The decision to add the number of questions in one marker’s will only be implemented after assessing the nature of the question paper, results and the feedback from various academic institutions.” (more…)
