Bangalore, June 2: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday announced the arrival of the southwest monsoon over parts of coastal and south interior Karnataka. After its onset over Kerala was announced on May 31, the monsoon has now advanced to Karwar, Chitradurga, Vellore and Chennai, according to the IMD. (more…)
Bangalore (PTI): The allocation of portfolios for all 29 ministers of the newly sworn in BJP government will be made on June 6 after the Yeddyurappa led ministry passes the floor test.
The portfolios would be allocated only after June 6, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and state unit BJP president D V Sadananda Gowda told reporters here on Saturday. (more…)
