The actress is known for her seven year itch with boyfriend Kelly Dorjee. But her split made news. “Yes, we were together for a very long time,” admits Lara, “And were each other’s strength for most of the ‘growing up’ years of our life. We’ve seen a lot together, but things happen, and we have to move on. There are some people who will always be special.”
So, is the time to love again already here? “I’ll take each day as it comes. I’m not looking at getting into another relationship just yet. I think for me right now, life is at a stage where I’m getting good work. I realise that I’ve got a limited number of years and I really want to give it everything I’ve got. I haven’t been single in a really long time. I’m re-learning being single all over again, and loving it.” But doesn’t she feel sad to return to an empty home after pack-up? “Who said my home is empty? I have two dogs, maids, nieces, sisters…”
And what about her link-ups with Bobby Deol, Salman Khan… “They’re just rumours, Lara says laughing. Not many know that most of my co-actors treat me like a boy. And when they hear or read about me being involved with them, all they say is, ‘Yea right, like this is ever going to happen!”
