WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin today visited Ricky Hatton at the gym he trains at in Manchester to present Hatton with WWE tag team title belts for him and his eight-year-old son Campbell. While there Austin was quoted by Simon Rothstein for the Sun UK in regards to his love for Boxing and discussed Hatton’s fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Hatton lost to Mayweather this past December.
Austin was quoted on his love for boxing, saying he has been following the game for a long time. Austin also admitted he
is a huge fan of Hatton: “I’ve been following the boxing game, in all weight classes, for a long time,” said Austin, adding: “I’m a big fan of Ricky’s and it was a pleasure to meet him today.”
However Austin’s admiration for Hatton is not extended to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Austin dissed Mayweather for running his mouth off too much and also for being cocky, arrogant.
In regards to Mayweather Jr., Austin stated: “As for Mayweather, for my liking he runs his mouth too much.”
Austin added: “I made a lot of money by running my mouth, but I think he’s a little too cocky and arrogant.”
Austin also admitted he bought the Hatton-Mayweather PPV and cheered all the way for Hatton.
