Following the success of Jab We Met Kareena Kapoor is on the roll. The 27-year-old, who is busy signing new films and brand endorsements, attended an event in the capital to endorse Head & Shoulder shampoo, Thursday, November 29.
Her message to the girls who wanted to have hair like hers was: “Use Heads & Shoulders. It is a great brand. It is a great shampoo. It promises you a scalp like new.”
Never known to be modest, Kareena attributes the success of Jab We Met to “My character Geet” which “was the soul of the movie.”
“There was so much life in her character, which was loved by people from all walks of life,” she added.
Kareena’s portfolio of brand endorsements now includes Globus, Citizen Watches, Emami Winter Care Cream, ICI Paints, Head & Shoulders and ITC soap.
Her forthcoming films include Yash Raj Films Tashan (Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan) set for release in April 2008 and Phir Golmaal (Ajay Devgan).
She is in talks for at least four additional films
Kareena has seen her fortunes fluctuate in Bollywood. At one point of time she was reputed to be the highest paid actress in Bollywood. Following a string of flops not only did her price drop there came a stage when she had no dates on her calendar.
Jab We Met has set things right for her. Rumor has it that she is once again demanding the highest price amongst actresses.
Kareena doesn’t mind the rumors and takes a pragmatic point of view.
“I think all these things are happening after Jab We Met…but it is ok. Let people talk. They are doing their job.”
