Karnataka State Film Chamber President Talem Nanjunda Shetty told UNI that as per discussion held by the Police the theatre owners have agreed to instal CCTV and metal detectors at the entrance of the hall.

Replying to a question, he said that ” instructions have already been dispatched to all the 1200 theatre owners in the State to comply with the instructions within one month. They had to agree in their own interest as well as to protect lives of people coming to watch movies”.

Police instruction to the Theatre owners was as a precautionary measure in the wake of recent blasts in Hyderabad and Ludhiana.
