Oct 20: The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), India’s largest telecommunication company is in its mode of service expansion by offering new value added services and also introducing new technologies. The latest one in its frame is the Wi-Max to connect the remote region all across the nation.
The company after launching mobile TV for its GSM users a couple of weeks back in some of the selected regions of north and north-east India is now planning to tie all parts of rural areas by high speed wireless broadband internet service. This 2000 crore project is certainly a promising initiative by the company to improve rural telecommunication infrastructure.

Udupi: Now tickets of Air Deccan are available in post offices in Mangalore, Puttur and Udupi region as the airlines has tied up with postal departments to sell tickets.
In Udupi region Air Deccan tickets are available in Udupi, Manipal, Kundapur, Moodubelle, Udyavara, Kapu,Katapadi, Padubidri, Shirva,Malpe, Sante Katte, Kunjibettu,Hiriyadaka, Bramhavar, Barkur, Basruru, Koteshwara, Byndoor and Kollur post offices.
In Mangalore division here are the post offices where one can book air tickets:
Mangalore, Kulashekhar, Kankanady, Kodialbail, Hampanakatta, Balmata, Milagres, Ashoka Nagar, Mangalore Harbour, Panambur, Shrinivasnagar, Suratkal, Mulki, Haleangadi, Kinnigoli, Kinnikambala, Ullal, Mangala Gangothri, Bejai, Bajpe, Konchadi and Katipalla.

Mumbai (PTI): Provider of online products and services Yahoo India on Friday launched oneSearch SMS, the company’s latest search offering in the mobile space for Indian consumers to find any information.
OneSearch SMS will enable the customers to search for information anytime with the help of mobile phones.
